Time Travel in Norway - Norwegian Wild Reindeer Centre Pavilion by Snøhetta

The Zen nature of this minimalist shelter cannot be improved upon.  The glass cube in the harsh desert is so perfect that its interior becomes all consuming and morphs to emulate the surrounding topography and terrain as if it were a chameleon. This takes Phillip Johnson's Glass House one step further.  It is the landscape.  It is by its nature quite contradictory - the treeless landscape has been harvested for the topographic model within. This structure travels to a past where tribes carved wood into organic shapes - we are simply lucky to have it displayed in such a beautiful oversized curioso box. - Ecomanta
