Vogue Russia: Modern Country House Thinks Outside of the Box

This modern house, built for a young family in Northern Russia,  explores the 3 elements of modernism that are most important -dynamic flow up space through circulation, uplifting double volume spaces, and the use of large spanses of glass for light and access to the balconies that wrap the perimeter.  The interior appears to be unfinished in terms of decor - but the client specifically wanted it pared down and minimalist.  The most dynamic room is ironically the master bathroom which has a skylight window wall that provides an uplifting view.  Note the Dornbracht faucets as any good modern home should not neglect the refined polished nickel modern plumbing controls.  - Peter Greene.
