The Italian Trade Commission launched a promotion for Italian Fashion Brands on Madison Avenue by hosting Monacelli's newest tour de force Interior Design Book entitled Designers Abroad.  The book signing was hosted at Fratelli Rossetti, one of Italy's premiere leather makers - where Italian cognoscenti go to buy super high end shoes and bags.  The Book Designers Abroad is a collection of the worlds top 20 interiror designers and architects  with stunning projects by designers - Inson Wood, Alessandra Branca, Juan Montoya, Timothy Corrigan and Clodagh.  Inson Wood gave a brief interview about his past travels through Italy when he studied Architecture in Rome with leading restoration expert Roberto Einaudi and Colin Rowe author of "Mathemtics of the Ideal Villa. Inson wood has worked with several ultra luxury brands including Hermes, Fendi, and Ferrari so it was a natural transition to be giving a talk on his project at Fratelli Rossetti. Top Interior Designer in New York City, Inson Wood said" I absolutely treasure all things Italian - especially leather goods such as shoes and bags. In fact I am currently doing a line of ultra exclusive furniture with a fabricator who uses Hermes leather on the upholstery combined with had cut velvets.  The Italians are unparalleled in many aspects of design especially leather goods and furniture. I am currently restoring a 1962 GTO Ferrari interior for a private client, one of 5 in the world, the leather hand stitching for one seat takes 5 months."  The book signing was the second for the book with an incredible turnout of people crowding the store. Fabulous Massotina Prosecco was served - perfect for the summer weather.
