Holiday House Hamptons opening night went off flawlessly with a record number of attendees and 33 valets to assist with 500 guests of this spectacular event in Bridgehampton, NY. Thom Filicia, Ally Coulter, and Donna Livingston were among 20 top interior designers featured in the show. Inson Wood, a showhouse veteran continued his signature show stopping mastery by designing the biggest room in the house - creating an ultra luxe collage including wonderful mixture of collectible one of a kind or limited edition pieces.  The center piece apart from the extremely valuable Berlinetta Ferrari, were the 3 hand carved limited edition chaise Longues by Inson Wood. Also in the room was a customized piano and a wonderfully cozy Morrocan antique rug.  For seating a kidney shaped velvet tufted sofa with cast bronze feet was flanked by two extruded aluminum tables that face a stunning 16th Century Limestone mantle. New York City socialite, Chau-Giang Thi Nguyen, a Carnegie hall Pianist performed Mozarts requiem on the piano and also provided the painting above the fireplace. Christopher Hyland of Hyland magazine said Inson Wood's space was " Pure Genius and t a truly Masterful Composition at the highest level." The showhouse was created to raise funds for Evelyn Lauder's Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

A little bit about BCRF : The Foundation’s mission is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leading medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health. Currently, 91 cents of every dollar spent by BCRF is directed towards breast cancer research and awareness programs.  Evelyn Lauder was just a year older than me and her achievements were far too numerous to relate here but I suggest you will find her bio very interesting.  I never met her, but as a breast cancer survivor and activist, I am aware of her many contributions to advancing the awareness of and cure for breast cancer.  I have been privileged to have known many women who aspired to these same goals.  Many continue to work tirelessly to reach them while many, unfortunately, are no longer with us.
