China Rising: The importance of Antiquities and Buddhist relics

Buddhist sculptures and even buddha fragments have been collected for centuries. Inson Dubois Wood consults on acquiring antiquites and fragments. "Some of these pieces are priceless - and available at surprisingly affordable prices for things that should be in the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Louvre."

Recently a Buddhist statue sold for 40 million dollars. The artist is unknown but the subject matter has been known and is estimated to have been born 403 years before Christ.  Buddha was a human and his biggest goal was to teach compassion - 350 million people still follow his teachings to this day.
